In the gospel studying there is a conflict between Jesus and the Pharisees as to what's and isn’t allowed under the Jewish Law. Jesus saw no downside with allowing his disciples to provide for themselves on this method on the Sabbath. He quotes an incident in Scripture in help of his view.
